Job duties: your primary responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records and performing a range of accounting and bookkeeping tasks using both manual and computerized systems. Key duties are as follows:
1. Bookkeeping and Accounting:
• Establish, maintain, and balance various accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare the trial balance of books.
• Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements in accordance with standard accounting practices.
2. Accounts Payable/Receivable:
• Action accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciling transactions with statements and preparing daily cash deposits.
• Update receivable ledgers and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
• Process receipts, cash, and credit card transactions, maintaining all relevant files and reports.
3. Reconciliation and Reporting:
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers by analyzing consistency with dealership or business schedules.
• Process claims related to industry-specific expenses, such as those in the automobile sector.
• Prepare and check invoices, obtaining appropriate payment approval.

Skills requirements: education and work experience
• Completion of a college program in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Three years of experience as a financial or accounting technician is required.
