Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Helper to join our team. The Construction Helper will assist skilled tradespeople and construction laborers with a variety of tasks on construction sites. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, follow instructions, and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Hourly wage: $23.50 to $25.00 CAD
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, bricklayers, and plumbers, in completing their tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to work areas.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, garbage, and other materials.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete, asphalt, and gravel.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barricades.
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or foreman.
Requirements:
- No formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous experience in construction or related field is an advantage, but not mandatory.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
