JAGBIR TRANSPORT INC. is looking for 2 positions of LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS for their location at 6780 Pacific Circle, Mississauga, ON L5T 1N8

Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full-Time Position

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate

Experience: Experience is an asset

On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

Tasks:

• Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport cargo on international routes.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Pay and receive payments for goods.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and courses

• AZ Class License

Experience and Specialization

Documentation Knowledge

• Accident or incident reports
• Driver logbook
• Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
• Maintenance and repair reports
• Trans-border documentation

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer A train

Transportation/Travel Experience: Long-Haul
