Painter and Decorator

Candidates will have at least five (5) years of relevant work experience and be able to travel to client work locations in their own vehicle. Steel-toed boots and a valid driver's license are mandatory. Mileage and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.
A successful applicant will be proficient in the handling of roller, brush, and spray painting. They should be able to prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, mix paint to desired colour and texture, and, apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. They should also be able to stain or finish wood to the specified colour, sand wooden surfaces, and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products as well as prepare and apply laminated plastics, lacquer, or other sealers. Additional required skills include proficiency in graining and staining techniques. Moreover, applicants should be comfortable working on restoration projects and in residential settings.
